About the role

UHY is a professional services firm providing audit, tax, consulting, and advisory services. The Technology Risk and Compliance Intern will help clients understand and mitigate technology and cybersecurity risks through IT control attestations, risk assessments, controls testing, documentation, and related reporting.

Requirements

• 0-1 year of relevant experience
• High School Diploma or GED or High School equivalent certificate
• Actively pursuing bachelor's degree in accounting, information systems, or similar with an interest in information technology
• Some travel is required
• Preferred: Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Preferred: Experience with IT systems

What you'll do

• IT Control Attestations: understand client IT systems, infrastructure, and control environment; apply to IT risk and control frameworks such as SOC, PCI, HIPAA, ISO, FFIEC, NIST, CIS Security
• IT Risk Assessments: assess various IT risks and develop reports and presentations to stakeholders
• Controls Testing: evaluate the effectiveness of controls
• Documentation: document procedures and results of tests performed during control testing
• Administration: track time and maintain designated chargeable hours
