AI Security Engineer III - Agentic AI & Security Automation

About the role

Amex AI Security Engineer: develop AI agents in Python to identify, prioritize and remediate vulnerabilities, create GitHub pull requests, integrate REST APIs and CI/CD. 2-4 years experience in software, automation, DevSecOps or security engineering.

Requirements

• 2-4 years software development, automation, DevSecOps or security engineering
• Strong Python incl. REST API integration and automated testing
• Practical GenAI/LLM application experience with tool calling and agent workflows
• Familiarity with LangChain/LangGraph
• GitHub and CI/CD experience
• Software security fundamentals and vulnerability remediation
• Awareness of AI application security (prompt injection, human-in-the-loop)

What you'll do

• Build autonomous AI agents to analyze and prioritize vulnerabilities
• Automate secure code and dependency fixes and create GitHub PRs
• Notification and escalation workflows
• AI-driven cryptographic metadata and assurance
