Analyst, Business & Tech Risk Integration

About the role

Analyst role on T-Mobile's controls transformation team embedding risk management into business and technical workflows: risk assessments of IT initiatives and AI use cases, designing SOX/ITGC controls in GRC systems, automating controls, and supporting audit readiness. Requires bachelor's plus 1+ year related experience (or equivalent), working knowledge of SOX/NIST/ISO 27001/COSO/COBIT, and familiarity with AI governance, automation, cloud risk and Agile. Hybrid 3 days/week in Overland Park KS or Frisco TX.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT Risk Management, Information Systems, Business or related field plus 1+ year related work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience (Required)
• 1-4 years IT risk management, IT compliance, enterprise risk, audit or similar (Preferred)
• Working knowledge of risk and control frameworks (SOX, NIST, ISO 27001, COSO, COBIT) (Required)
• Familiarity with automation, AI governance concepts, cloud-based risk considerations, Agile scrum (Required)
• Strong analytical, documentation and problem-solving skills
• Effective communicator across business and technical teams
• Legally authorized to work in the United States; at least 18 years old

What you'll do

• Conduct proactive risk assessments across business and IT initiatives including cloud migrations, automation rollouts and AI use cases
• Identify and manage SOX, operational and other compliance domain risks in business systems and processes
• Design and build technology and business controls (ITGCs: access, change management, computer operations; data integrity; Agile SDLC) using GRC systems and NIST, COBIT, SOX standards
• Support transition from manual to automated and embedded controls and continuous monitoring
• Manage the risk program for IT projects and train control owners; track risk issues through remediation
• Build reporting and dashboards on key risk indicators and control health; support audit readiness with documentation and evidence
