AVP, Compliance Technology and Innovation

About the role

Sun Life (Montreal, hybrid, full-time, CAD 155k-225k) seeks an AVP Compliance Technology and Innovation to lead compliance transformation, the Compliance Technology Roadmap, analytics, AI/GenAI solutions, and operational risk governance, partnering with Compliance, Risk, Internal Audit and Technology. Requires significant leadership in compliance/risk/technology, GRC and financial crimes tech, financial services regulatory knowledge, AI in regulated environments, French/English bilingualism for Quebec. Silent on visa sponsorship.

Requirements

• Significant leadership experience in Compliance, Risk, Governance, Technology, Analytics or related
• Led enterprise-wide transformation programs
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks, governance, operational risk and controls
• Experience applying technology, analytics, automation and AI to business challenges
• Exceptional stakeholder management and executive presentation skills
• University degree in Business, Finance, Law, Risk Management, Technology or related
• Advanced project, program and portfolio management knowledge
• Experience with GRC platforms and Financial Crimes compliance technology
• Experience implementing automation, AI and GenAI in a regulated environment
• Knowledge of financial services regulatory frameworks
• Change management and organizational transformation experience
• French/English bilingualism required for Quebec

• Develop and execute vision and roadmap for Compliance Technology, Innovation, Insight and Analytics
• Lead transformational initiatives for Compliance effectiveness
• Oversee Compliance technology operations, platform enhancements and release management
• Lead design and deployment of analytics, automation, AI and GenAI solutions
• Support operational risk management, business continuity and governance
• Lead and develop teams across Technology, Innovation and Analytics
