About the role

The AVP, Trader role within Capital Markets is an exciting opportunity to join AmeriHome's high-performing mortgage secondary marketing trading desk. This fast-paced environment offers direct exposure to seasoned capital markets professionals and the opportunity to learn best practices across hedging, MBS sales, pooling, and whole loan trading for AmeriHome's agency pipeline.

Requirements

• 3+ years related experience in Residential Mortgage Lending, Capital Markets or similar field, or 1+ years with an advanced degree (MBA/Master's in Finance)
• Bachelor's degree in related field required
• Intermediate knowledge of residential mortgage industry
• Advanced Excel
• Entry level to intermediate SQL

What you'll do

• Support agency mortgage pipeline hedging activities
• Support specified pool auction processes
• Assist with whole loan trade execution
• Monitor specified pool MBS markets and relative value opportunities
• Assist with pooling activities and agency delivery execution
• Confirm trades and maintain trade blotter records
