About the role

Principal Engineer on Siemens EDA's Calibre LVS R&D team. C++, Linux, EDA, physical verification, LVS/DRC, graph algorithms, multi-threaded/HPC parallel programming, ~10 years. Wilsonville, OR. Position subject to U.S. export control (ITAR/EAR), contingent on verifying U.S. Person status or obtaining an export license.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or Electrical Engineering (Master's/PhD preferred)
• Around 10 years of software development with strong C++
• Proficiency in Linux-based development
• High-Performance Computing (HPC) programming
• Extensive EDA experience, particularly physical verification
• In-depth understanding of LVS principles and methodologies
• Knowledge of graph algorithms and their applications in EDA
• Experience in multi-threaded programming and parallel computing

What you'll do

• Design, develop, maintain features for Calibre LVS/DRC (accuracy, performance, usability)
• Optimize code for parallel execution on HPC platforms
• Implement multi-threaded algorithms to improve processing speed
• Performance analysis and debugging to resolve bottlenecks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on requirements/specifications
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
