Controls and Instrumentation Engineer

About the role

Fully site-based C&I Engineer at Lonza Biologics, Slough, supporting reliable operation and continuous improvement of biopharmaceutical manufacturing: PLC/DCS(DeltaV)/SCADA configuration and troubleshooting, instrument calibration/maintenance, commissioning/qualification/validation.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Chemical Engineering or related
• significant C&I experience in biopharmaceutical/pharmaceutical/regulated manufacturing
• strong PLC programming and troubleshooting (Rockwell or Siemens)
• DCS experience (Emerson DeltaV) and HMI/SCADA
• GxP/cGMP regulated environment experience

What you'll do

• Design, develop, implement and maintain control systems and instrumentation solutions
• Configure, troubleshoot, optimise PLC/DCS/SCADA automation systems
• Maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot process instrumentation
• Lead/support commissioning, qualification and validation activities
• Drive continuous improvement, root cause investigations, provide operational training
