Director, AI Platform Engineering

About the role

Leads design, development, and scaling of a production-grade multi-tenant AI agent platform using MCP, agent orchestration, LLM integration, observability, and developer tooling. Leads 8–15 engineers and owns platform strategy, reliability, security, and delivery.

Requirements

• 10+ years software engineering
• 5+ years engineering leadership
• experience building production API, data, or ML platforms
• experience with multi-agent orchestration and LLM APIs
• cloud-native infrastructure at scale
• Python backend development
• organizational technical strategy

What you'll do

• Own technical roadmap and architecture for enterprise AI agent platform
• Lead and mentor 8–15 platform engineers
• Build multi-tenant, secure, scalable platform infrastructure
• Own reliability, SLAs, observability, incident response, and capacity planning
• Drive developer experience, APIs, SDKs, and self-service tooling
• Coordinate with product, data science, and business stakeholders
