About the role

Manufacturing Engineer reporting to the Plant Manager at Thermolec (SPX Technologies), Montreal HVAC manufacturer. Continuous improvement, productivity optimization, time studies, line balancing, cost estimation, layouts and manufacturing cells, Lean/Six Sigma. Bachelor degree in engineering (mechanical an asset), 3+ years manufacturing engineering, Excel, CAD. Day shift Monday-Friday. No sponsorship, citizenship or clearance statement.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in engineering or related field; mechanical engineering a strong asset
• Minimum 3 years manufacturing engineering in a production environment
• Excellent knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
• Experience in data analysis, time studies, production standards and cost estimation
• Experience designing or improving layouts, manufacturing cells and workflows
• Advanced Excel, CAD and statistical software
• Assets: 5+ years, HVAC sector, MRP/ERP, supply chain/production planning

What you'll do

• Analyze production data and KPIs for productivity, quality and profitability
• Conduct time studies, line balancing and cost estimates
• Support plant leadership with technical and financial analyses
• Design and implement process improvements, cells and factory layouts
• Lead process improvement projects from concept to implementation
• Measure results of implemented changes
