Instrumentation and Automation Engineer

About the role

Air Liquide Technical Solutions team seeks an Instrumentation and Automation Engineer for primary/secondary gas-production projects: instrumentation/automation design, costing/procurement, specs and risk assessments, vendor oversight. Must-have: proficiency in English and Italian.

Requirements

• Degree in electronic engineering, automation engineering, or related electronic technician diploma
• 3-5+ years experience in electricity and instrumentation within an industrial primary production environment
• Proficiency in English AND Italian (must-have)
• Available to travel within Italy and European countries

What you'll do

• Develop preliminary and detailed instrumentation/automation solutions per company standards
• Estimate project budgets, prepare RFQs, evaluate supplier offers, support procurement
• Create technical data sheets, specifications, bid evaluations; participate in risk assessments
• Supervise external engineering design and perform technical audits on suppliers/installations
• Assist site supervisors with technical issue resolution during construction; deliver internal training
