Junior Software Engineer (Data Products) at Yapily - build and scale a next-gen data platform (data pipelines, billing infrastructure, self-serve data APIs) on GCP. Junior role for candidates with a strong CS foundation eager to specialize in Data Engineering.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of programming experience (including internships or intensive projects)
• Academic or professional exposure to SQL, comfortable writing queries and basic schema design
• Familiarity with Git and basic CI/CD concepts
• Basic understanding of REST APIs and microservices communication
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)

What you'll do

• Support scalable data ingestion/processing (ETL/ELT) pipelines
• Deploy and maintain software using GCP services (Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Cloud Storage)
• Collaborate with BI, infrastructure, and product teams
• Help build and document APIs
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases, optimize schemas and queries
• Contribute to billing infrastructure in an event-driven environment
• Participate in testing, monitoring, and logging
