About the role

Quant Capital is urgently looking for a Junior Trading Engineer to join a high-profile client, a well known global Prop Trading firm. Responsible for maximizing value from technology, developing and maintaining infrastructure and data-intensive applications, working closely with Quantitative Traders and Fundamental Analysts as an Application Support Analyst. Role is London City based, 5 days in office, requires 7.15 AM start. Suits a fresh STEM graduate with a passion for finance.

Requirements

• STEM Degree
• Demonstrable interest in working in technology
• Good understanding of Linux OS
• Python or another language
• Strong analytical skills to identify root cause of issues
• Ability to thrive in high-pressure or time-critical situations

What you'll do

• Monitor UK/US trading application health, distinguish internal/external issues
• Ensure data capture services are running
• Software development
• Small enhancements to trader applications
• Assisting with new release testing
• Helping traders and quants roll out and test new strategy parameters
• Understand the system architecture and metrics
