Lead role owning large-scale production search for legal and professional content; requires 8+ years industry search/IR deployment, ranking/indexing depth, publications, and leadership.

Requirements

• 8+ years industry experience building production search, retrieval, ranking, or recommendation systems
• PhD preferred in CS, IR, ML, NLP, or related field
• Publications at relevant ML/IR venues
• Production Python, PyTorch, and Transformers
• Experience with search architecture, indexing, ingestion, ranking, and relevance evaluation
• Technical leadership and mentoring

What you'll do

• Design and deploy large-scale search and retrieval systems
• Build document ingestion and enrichment pipelines
• Develop ranking and reranking with traditional IR and LLMs
• Improve semantic/hybrid retrieval and query understanding
• Evaluate search quality and user outcomes
• Lead architecture decisions and mentor scientists
