Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Average work tenure of at least one year in previous jobs
• 2 years related healthcare experience with front office responsibilities, insurance verification, and authorizations preferred
• Typing and data entry competency
• Basic computer skills
• Familiarity with routine office equipment and Microsoft Office
• Insurance terminology and medical terminology preferred

What you'll do

• Register new and returning patients; maintain demographic, financial, and insurance data
• Schedule appointments and support pre-registration, pre-certification, and prior authorizations
• Verify insurance benefits and communicate coverage to patients
• Answer and route calls on a multi-line phone system
• Maintain confidential patient records and enter data in EPIC and OP Rehab EMR
• Collect and post payments and balance receipts
• Prepare charts and support outpatient rehabilitation front office operations
• Coordinate patient flow and communication with patients, physicians, and staff
