Security Consultant I, Security Operations Center

About the role

TELUS Tier 1 SOC role on rotating 24/7 shifts. Requires 3 years SOC experience, including 2 years using CrowdStrike Falcon, plus SIEM/SOAR, EDR, firewall, IDS/IPS knowledge.

Requirements

• Three years of SOC experience
• At least two years with CrowdStrike Falcon
• Degree or diploma in information security, computer science, engineering or related discipline
• Working knowledge of SIEM, SOAR, servers, firewalls, IDS/IPS and EDR
• Rotating shifts and emergency calls

What you'll do

• Monitor, triage, investigate and escalate security alerts
• Recommend incident containment
• Produce investigation reports
• Tune detection use cases
• Document procedures
