About the role

This role contributes to the overall success of the Real Estate Secured Lending (RESL) business by supporting mortgage-related fraud, AML, and reputational risk reviews across branch, broker, and Home Financing Advisor channels.

Requirements

• Post-secondary education
• Working knowledge of mortgage origination, underwriting standards, documentation requirements and indicators of fraud/misrepresentation
• Comfort with Excel, PowerPoint, dashboards, case management tools, Copilot/AI tools and/or mortgage systems
• Ability to review data outputs and identify patterns, outliers, key risk indicators
• Experience reviewing mortgage files, fraud applications, QA samples, EDD cases, or risk-based documentation is an asset
• Working knowledge of RESL systems (MIMS or related mortgage adjudication platforms)
• Strong written communication skills

What you'll do

• Supports mortgage-related fraud, AML, and reputational risk reviews across branch, broker, and HFA channels
• Conducts file reviews, enhanced due diligence assessments, income verification, analytics-driven sampling
• Provides AML, KYC, and EDD support for mortgage-focused reviews
• Reviews mortgage applications and documentation for fraud indicators, prepares investigative summaries
• Contributes to analytics-driven mortgage sampling, identifying trends and key risk indicators
