Senior Project Manager

About the role

Our client is an independent regulatory body in the UK responsible for ensuring financial markets work well for consumers and the economy. Seeking an experienced hybrid Senior Project Manager to join a high-profile programme focused on Critical Third Parties within financial services, leading delivery of strategic business and technology change initiatives. Duration: 6 months initial term. Pay: £750/day PAYE. Location: 50% in-office monthly, Stratford, London.

Requirements

• Experience managing successful business and technology change projects (£multi-million) in Financial Services or for a government/regulatory body
• Experience managing employees and third parties in a matrix environment
• Evidence of shaping business ideas into investment cases and detailed project plans for multi-workstream delivery
• Demonstrable evidence of planning and controlling project delivery
• Strong financial management capability - budget ownership, forecasting, cost management, financial reporting
• Experienced leading people through structural, procedural and cultural change
• Ability to build relationships with sponsors, accountable executives, business stakeholders and SMEs

What you'll do

• Deliver business and technical change projects end-to-end within agreed time, budget, scope
• Build and manage stakeholder relationships, define scope, facilitate decisions, manage escalations
• Develop project management controls and governance (investment case, project plan, deliverables, milestones)
• Validate assumptions and resolve dependencies, issues and risks
• Own and manage project financials - budget forecasting, cost tracking, financial reporting
