About the role

Municipal Credit Union Software Developer QA/QC; posted 3 days ago; NYC remote; annual base $81,700-$134,730 plus possible discretionary bonus. Evaluates developer work, code, APIs, database objects, automated/manual tests, defects and release readiness. Requires QA/QC/risk-based testing, proficiency reviewing .NET/C#/VB.NET code, API/service testing, SQL Server/SSIS, source control/Azure DevOps, Postman/Selenium/Playwright, CI/CD and secure coding. Symitar/financial-services experience desirable.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of SDLC, QA/QC, risk-based testing, defect management and release validation
• Proficiency reviewing .NET applications and object-oriented code in C# or VB.NET
• Experience testing REST/SOAP services, APIs, integrations, microservices and distributed workflows
• Strong SQL/SQL Server including queries, stored procedures, database objects, data integrity, SSIS
• Experience with source control, pull requests, branching, code review tools and Azure DevOps
• Experience with Postman, Selenium and Playwright
• Knowledge of CI/CD, automated testing, deployment, configuration management, rollback and production readiness
• Knowledge of secure coding and application security
• Ability to independently and objectively review peer work

• Review requirements, acceptance criteria, designs and deliverables
• Review source code, APIs, integrations, database objects, reports and workflows
• Create and execute test strategies, plans, cases, scripts, test data and regression suites
• Perform functional, integration, system, regression, security and performance testing
• Track defects and verify remediation
• Validate data integrity, SQL, interfaces, logging and security controls
• Validate releases, deployment and production readiness
• Maintain QA evidence, metrics and process improvements
