About the role

Amazon Financial Technology Team is looking for a results-oriented SDE II to create the next generation of distributed, scalable financial systems that facilitate global financial transactions worth billions annually. Design and develop software solutions using state-of-the-art AWS cloud services in a large distributed environment; HLD/LLD design, CI/CD pipelines, integration frameworks and APIs. Requires 3+ years software development and 2+ years design/architecture of new and existing systems.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

What you'll do

• Define high level and low level design for software solutions using the latest AWS technology in a large distributed environment
• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and reliable software solutions for accounting and financial operations
• Drive architecture and technology choices, ensuring alignment with long-term platform goals and scalability
• Implement and advocate engineering best practices, including automation, testing, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines
• Leverage data and metrics to enhance system performance, reliability, and operational efficiency
• Develop integration frameworks and APIs to streamline workflows and improve system interoperability
• Maintain exceptional code quality standards with emphasis on security, readability, and maintainability
