About the role

KLA Global Products Group, Optical Metrology Division, seeks a highly skilled Software Engineer with strong experience in multidisciplinary software-hardware systems. Candidate must thrive in complex system environments, demonstrate deep expertise in multithreaded/multiprocessing software, and bring a strong troubleshooting mindset to solve challenging real-world problems in semiconductor equipment. Base pay range $115,900-$197,000 annually; primary location Hillsboro/Beaverton, OR.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree + 6 years, master's + 4 years, or doctorate + 1 year of related experience
• Proven experience developing and troubleshooting multidisciplinary SW/HW systems
• Strong programming expertise in C++ and/or C#
• Experience with multithreading and multiprocessing concepts
• Hands-on experience developing applications on Windows and/or Linux operating systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on debugging complex systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain software components for complex SW/HW integrated systems
• Build high-performance, scalable applications leveraging C++, C#, .NET Core, and .NET Framework on Windows and Linux
• Develop and optimize multithreaded and multiprocessing applications for performance-critical systems
• Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, systems, and algorithm teams to integrate software into end-to-end solutions
• Diagnose and resolve system-level issues using strong debugging and troubleshooting techniques
