About the role

PRISMA Research Fabric - Software Engineering IC2 role building platform foundations for AI-first, agent-assisted security research across the Microsoft Defender ecosystem. Required: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field with coding experience in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, OR equivalent experience. Entry-level IC2 title suggests early-career fit.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline with coding experience in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, OR equivalent experience
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements including Microsoft Cloud Background Check
• Preferred: experience through internships, academic projects, open-source contributions, or professional software development
• Preferred: understanding of computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, OOP, software design)

What you'll do

• Develop, test, and maintain software components supporting data processing, ML inference, model execution, and agent-based workflows
• Work with engineers, researchers, and product teams to implement software solutions
• Contribute to design and implementation of features under guidance of experienced engineers
• Write high-quality, maintainable, well-tested code
• Participate in debugging, troubleshooting, and code reviews
• Learn and apply software reliability, security, scalability, and operational excellence principles
