About the role

Entry-level Software Engineer (L2) on the Docket Operations pillar at Point, home equity fintech. 100% remote, open to candidates based in Canada who are legally authorized to work in Canada. Hands-on role for an early-career engineer, backend and frontend.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in CS/Engineering or equivalent practical experience
• 1+ years professional software development (excluding internships), back-end or full-stack
• Proficiency in a backend language (Ruby, Python)
• Familiarity with TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• Basic APIs and frontend/backend integration
• Foundational databases and system architecture
• Unit testing basics

What you'll do

• Implement well-defined features under senior guidance
• Write and maintain code in TypeScript, Python, Ruby
• Code reviews and PRs
• Debug production and staging issues
• Support database updates, API integrations, internal tooling
• Logging, monitoring, metrics
