About the role

Affirm's Marketplace and App Experience domain drives the user journey across mobile and web frontend surfaces. Looking for a Software Engineer II with 1.5+ years experience shipping web apps (React/Vue) and mobile apps (React Native), plus API development (Kotlin/Python). Remote role open to candidates residing in Canada.

Requirements

• 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer
• Experience shipping web apps using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue
• Experience shipping mobile apps using native or cross-platform languages like React Native
• Experience designing, developing and launching APIs at scale using languages like Kotlin or Python
• Ability to write clear, well-tested, extensible code across multiple software components
• Comfortable navigating a large codebase, debugging others' code, code reviews
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Equivalent practical experience or Bachelor's degree in related field

• Break down larger projects into tasks and deliver in phases
• Collaborate with product management, design & analytics on ideation and technical trade-offs
• Support operations/availability of team's artifacts, metrics, on-call efforts
• Contribute to team growth and participate in the interview process
