About the role

L3 platform engineering role building and operating massive-scale distributed systems (12B+ emails at peak) across AWS and Azure, running Kubernetes beyond managed services, GitOps with ArgoCD/Harness, Terraform IaC, Go. Remote but excluded in CA, CT, NJ, NY, PA, WA.

Requirements

4+ years professional software engineering experience building and operating resilient backend services at scale using Kubernetes
hands-on experience with EKS and zero-downtime Kubernetes cluster upgrades
hands-on GitOps with ArgoCD and CI/CD orchestration with Harness
strong hands-on experience with Shell, Terraform, YAML and Go
solid experience deploying/managing production workloads in AWS or Azure
strong understanding of distributed datastores, caching, async event streaming (Kafka)

What you'll do

design, build, and operate Kubernetes cluster management services and automations
drive code reviews and testing standards
manage cloud configs across AWS/Azure with Terraform
standardize observability metrics/alerts/tracing
mentor junior engineers
