Staffing-agency (Hire Feed) contract role for an AI lab client, seeking a SWE with C++/Python/Rust performance engineering background to improve LLM training/inference infrastructure quality via systems-level optimization and task evaluation.

Requirements

• 2+ years professional experience in performance engineering, systems programming, or low-level optimization
• Deep hands-on expertise in at least one of C++, Python, or Rust with working familiarity across the others
• Track record of measurable performance improvements on production systems
• Experience writing and assessing performance-engineering tasks for AI model training/evaluation

What you'll do

• Guide research/engineering teams on AI model performance in systems-level optimization, compiler engineering, runtime performance
• Design domain-relevant performance engineering tasks and write solutions
• Evaluate performance engineering tasks and provide written technical feedback
• Develop evaluation frameworks for systems design quality
