Stage 2027 AI/ML Engineer 100% R&D - Tabular foundation models

About the role

Six-month Paris internship, Stage 2027. Research and engineering on latent reasoning for tabular foundation models, with Python/PyTorch implementation, model validation, interpretability, and evaluation. Profile asks final-year Master/Engineering degree with ML, statistics, and programming foundations.

Requirements

• Final-year Master or Engineering degree
• Strong foundations in machine learning, statistics, and programming
• Good grasp of model validation, train/test splits, data leakage, and baselines
• Strong Python and PyTorch skills
• Standard data science toolkit including pandas or polars, scikit-learn, gradient-boosting libraries
• English fluency is a plus

What you'll do

• Review literature on latent reasoning and tabular foundation models
• Adapt latent reasoning mechanisms to tabular foundation model architectures
• Implement and evaluate open-source tabular foundation models
• Measure accuracy, calibration, and robustness against baselines
• Apply interpretability methods
• Build an evaluation protocol and document results
