About the role

Technology Services delivers enterprise-scale services to Clackamas County school districts: network and data center services, Infinite Visions finance/HR and Synergy student information systems. The engineer administers systems on-premises and in the cloud, with emphasis on integrating disparate systems across locations.

Requirements

• At least four years' equivalent work experience managing enterprise server environments
• Advanced knowledge of Linux and Microsoft Windows Server environments
• Experience deploying hypervisor virtualization technologies
• Experience with server hardware and network equipment, local and network-based storage
• Active Directory and identity management experience
• Linux and Windows performance tuning and monitoring
• TCP/IP, firewall management, OS configuration
• Linux/Windows server scripting
• Load balancing, clustering, web application security
• SQL Server and MySQL administration
• DNS administration (BIND, Microsoft DNS)
• Valid driver's license

What you'll do

• Install, configure, administer and optimize on-premises and cloud systems
• Integrate disparate client/county/state systems
• Oversee data center and server farm security
• Design backup and disaster recovery infrastructure
• Configure SAN storage infrastructure
• Automate image creation and patching with scripts
