About the role

Software Engineer on Cloud Infrastructure Engineering teams at Snowflake - build the Data Cloud Platform at exceptional scale. Teams focus on simplifying large-scale infrastructure, building reliability services, enabling global operation across multiple cloud providers, defining OS and containerization layers, keeping SLOs high. Requires 2+ years in a platform/cloud team, 1+ years cloud computing (AWS/Azure/GCP), fluency in Golang, Java, Python, or C, and expertise in containers, automation, networking, or IaC (Pulumi, Terraform).

Requirements

• BS/CS, MS/CS, or equivalent
• At least 2+ years experience in a platform or cloud team building and supporting mission-critical services and infrastructure in a SaaS environment
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, coding skills, and knowledge of software development best practices
• At least 1+ years in cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Fluent in one or more languages (Golang, Java, Python, C)
• Expertise in at least one of: container platforms, automation, networking, operating systems, site reliability, config management, and infrastructure as code solutions such as Pulumi and Terraform

What you'll do

• Build a deep understanding of Snowflake's infrastructure and services
• Build and operate highly scalable, resilient, and performant infrastructure
• Provide technical leadership on large and complex projects that build infrastructure, platforms, tools, and automation in the cloud
• Evangelize and drive adoption of the Platform
• Mentor and support more junior team members with excellent code quality and documentation
