About the role

Join a profitable FinTech start-up as Lead Software Engineer, leading a talented team while building innovative banking solutions that integrate with major institutions like HSBC. You'll head up a small, talented tech team, ~50/50 split between architecture/design and people management, hybrid model with 2 days WFH in Central London.

Requirements

• Experienced Software Engineer with Python expertise and strong software engineering best practices and full SDLC experience
• Team leadership experience, mentoring and 1-2-1s and performance reviews
• Good knowledge of cloud based services (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
• Experience building APIs, ideally FastAPI
• Good knowledge of CI/CD, testing and deployment
• Thorough understanding of CS fundamentals (OOP, Data Structures, Design Patterns, Algorithms)
• Collaborative and pragmatic with great communication skills
• Degree educated in a STEM discipline (2.1 or above) or equivalent professional experience
