Software Intern

About the role

Software engineering internship building production-ready software for robotic biomanufacturing. Responsibilities include multi-robot coordination software, discrete-event simulations, scheduling and multi-agent workflows, shared resource tools, on-premise robot-to-AWS connectivity, automated testing, code reviews and architecture documentation. Requires current pursuit of a BS/MS/PhD in CS, Robotics or equivalent; strong linear algebra, Python, data science, data structures and algorithms.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, or equivalent
• Strong background in linear algebra, Python, data science, and data structures/algorithms
• Self-starter in fast-paced technically challenging startup
• Strong communication skills
• Organization and detail orientation
• Ability to manage multiple projects

What you'll do

• Design, build, deploy, troubleshoot, and maintain software coordinating multi-robot clusters
• Build discrete-event simulation tests for scheduling logic and throughput
• Implement and test scheduling logic for multi-agent workflows
• Develop tools for managing shared manufacturing resources
• Develop and monitor connectivity between on-premise robots and AWS
• Improve automated tests for nondeterministic robotic behaviors and integration
• Participate in code reviews and document system architecture
